Application Deadlines

There are two types of deadlines for applications – Priority and Standard deadlines.

Submitting an application by the Priority deadline guarantees that an applicant’s application will be reviewed for admission. It also represents the day an application must be complete to be considered for certain types of funding (assistantships, fellowships, or scholarships) or to be given priority consideration for admission. Many of the programs still review applications after the priority deadline provided there is space available in the program. When a program no longer considers applications, this is indicated on the website.

The Standard deadline represents the last day a complete application will be accepted; however, submitting an application by the standard deadline does not guarantee admission consideration.

Programs may close their application at any point after the priority deadline has passed. This will be indicated on the program’s admissions page on The Graduate College’s website. Some programs may continue to accept applications after the priority deadline until the standard deadline date; however, other programs may only accept applications until the priority deadline. For more information about specific program deadline dates, visit the program's admissions page on The Graduate College website.
